Bio

Jane Ambachtsheer is Chief Sustainability Officer at BNP Paribas Asset Management, where she guides sustainability strategy, stewardship, policy and corporate responsibility activities across the firm. With nearly three decades of experience at the intersection of sustainability and investment, she is focused on helping investors address the system-level challenges that shape long-term prosperity and value creation, including climate change, nature loss and inequality.

Jane has held teaching and research affiliations at universities in North America and Europe, holds an MSc in Social Science from the University of Amsterdam and a BA in Economics and English Literature from York University, and is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute Finance Leaders Fellowship. She has been named Investment Leader of the Year by Environmental Finance, and recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Social Investment Organisation for her contributions to sustainable capitalism. She is passionate about the role finance can play in creating a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient future.
